AGREEMENT NEGOTIATION

Is the budget enough? Who negotiates terms and conditions with the Sponsor?

Negotiating the terms of agreement between the investigator and Sponsor is an important process for all sites conducting sponsored research. Negotiating mutually agreeable terms help support the conduct and sustainability of a clinical trial at your site. The terms of the contract should reflect fair compensation for the work required to undertake the study at your site and other important terms such as recruitment targets, legal, resource, budget, process and contingency issues.

The NSW Office for Health and Medical Research has a budget costing tool to assist you with formulating your clinical trial budgets.
